The gearbox tilting furnace steel shell melting furnace is composed of a reducer flipping shell, a magnetic yoke, an induction coil, and a reducer mechanism. The tilting of the furnace body is achieved by the gear reducers and brackets on both sides of the furnace body through gear and worm meshing transmission.

 

The flipping shell of the reducer is a frame structure made of welded channel steel and steel plates. The magnetic yoke is made of Q230 oriented cold-rolled high-quality silicon steel sheets with a thickness of 0.23mm produced by Baosteel, and is clamped on both sides of stainless steel plates. The contour curve structure is consistent with the outer diameter arc of the coil. The coverage area of the magnetic yoke (for the induction coil) is over 60%. The method of fixing the magnetic yoke is as follows: the magnetic yoke is tightly attached to the induction coil, and a high temperature and high voltage resistant insulation cushion layer is used in the middle (the cushion layer adopts a structural pattern of mica board, four fluorine board and asbestos board). The outer part is tightly fastened to the stainless steel plate on the back of the magnetic yoke with M24 screws. The inner side of the magnetic yoke stainless steel clamping plate is equipped with a specially designed water-cooled box radiator. The water-cooled box is made of 304 stainless steel material. During the operation of the electric furnace, the temperature of the magnetic yoke is kept at room temperature to prevent deformation caused by the temperature rise of the magnetic yoke, thereby strengthening the support for the induction coil and improving the overall strength of the furnace.

The induction coil is the heart of the induction furnace. Under the action of current, the induction coil generates a strong magnetic field, which causes eddy currents in the metal inside the furnace and generates heat. The coil is the key to converting electrical energy into thermal energy, so the design of the coil is very important. The coil of this furnace is determined based on the actual use of the induction furnace, according to the principle of electromagnetic field, and through the calculation of professional computer software. The design power of the induction coil has an error of no more than 5% compared to the actual operating power. The insulation of the coil, especially the inter turn insulation, is ensured by advanced insulation treatment methods. The specialized clamping technology can effectively reduce the axial vibration of the coil.

 

The upper and lower parts of the induction coil are equipped with circular copper water-cooled coils of the same diameter as the induction coil to ensure uniform heating of the furnace lining. And it is equipped with a short-circuit ring to fully absorb the leakage magnetic flux at the upper and lower ends, preventing the furnace body from heating up.
