Induction Furnace Refractory Lining
Induction Furnace Refractory Lining is a thermal insulation material used in intermediate frequency induction heating furnace linings for forging.
There are four main types of induction Furnace Refractory Linings:
- Acidic furnace lining material. Its main component is quartz sand, which is affordable, has strong insulation performance, low construction requirements, and rarely produces defects during application, making production more stable. Our production of induction furnace heating furnace lining mainly uses acidic furnace lining materials, mainly composed of silicon dioxide and aluminum oxide. We use high-grade acidic furnace lining materials prepared with fused quartz as the base material. The silicon dioxide content is greater than 99%, and the fire resistance is greatly improved compared to ordinary acidic furnace lining materials, approaching the melting point. When heated up, there will be no size change and no secondary phase change, greatly improving the stability of the furnace lining. In terms of bonding methods, there are two main types of binders. One is to use water glass bonding when the temperature is below 1250 ℃, and the other is to use phosphoric acid bonding when the temperature is above 1250 ℃.
- Neutral furnace lining material. The main component is white corundum, which has a melting point of 2050 ℃, high hardness, wear resistance and high temperature resistance, and is more suitable for high-temperature cast steel or large furnace linings. Its disadvantages are high phase transition and thermal expansion coefficient. When in use, spinel micro powder can be added to improve corrosion resistance and dimensional stability. The use of neutral knotting materials is determined based on temperature. When the temperature is below 1200 ℃, clay castables are used; Temperature between 1250 ℃ -1350 ℃, using high aluminum casting material; When the temperature exceeds 1350 ℃, use corundum based knotting material.
- Alkaline furnace lining. Mainly using magnesium sand dry ramming molding, with a fire resistance degree of up to 2800 ℃, and corrosion resistance, long service life, and low price. Its disadvantage is that it has a high coefficient of expansion and is prone to cracking. Adding white corundum or spinel powder during use can effectively improve these shortcomings and thus increase its service life. If it is in an alkaline environment, magnesium refractory binding material needs to be used. If the temperature is too high, magnesium binding material with high specific gravity can be selected. Magnesium based knotting materials should not be stored outdoors or exposed to water, otherwise they will pulverize.
- Spinel furnace lining. This is a new type of furnace lining material, formed using alumina and magnesium oxide, and synthesized into spinel by high-temperature firing. At present, the main development direction is large-scale medium frequency furnace lining and high-temperature furnace lining.
