Coil Grout

Coil grout is a material applied to the coreless inductor of an intermediate frequency furnace. It is generally based on corundum sand powder and mixed with additives. It has the characteristics of high density and strength, making it a very good insulation material specially designed to protect coreless induction coils.

Usage: Add approximately 13% water to the online grouting powder, stir into a mud like mixture, and evenly apply it to the inner and outer surfaces of the induction coil as well as between turns, with a thickness of approximately 15mm. Regularly check the grouting situation of the coil on the induction coil. If there is a defect, it should be repaired and air dried in a timely manner to prevent phenomena such as ignition and coil aging during the melting process.

The function of coil grout:

• Inject coil grouting between the induction coil turns to insulate the coil turns
• It has a high thermal conductivity coefficient and does not affect induction heating
• It can effectively prevent the leakage of molten metal, protect the induction coil, and prevent the occurrence of furnace piercing phenomenon
• The smooth surface that can be formed by applying it on the coil can buffer the expansion and contraction of the inner lining of the induction coil.
