The principle of induction power supply is mainly based on the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction, which was discovered by British physicist Faraday in 1831 and proposed a corresponding theoretical explanation. The phenomenon of electromagnetic induction shows that when there is an alternating magnetic field in the area surrounded by the circuit, an electromotive force will be induced at both ends of the circuit. If it is closed, an induced current will be generated. Using this principle, the induction power supply can generate an alternating magnetic field by generating an alternating current, and then use the alternating magnetic field to generate eddy current to achieve heating or other energy conversion effects.

The working principle of induction power supply can be divided into two main methods:

Dielectric heating: This method is usually used to heat non-conductive materials, such as wood. It uses high-frequency voltage to generate an alternating electric field on the two-pole plate layer. The medium to be heated is in an alternating electric field, and the polar molecules or ions in the medium rotate or vibrate at the same frequency as the electric field, thereby generating heat and achieving a heating effect. ‌

Induction heating: This method generates an alternating magnetic field by generating an alternating current, and then uses the alternating magnetic field to generate eddy currents to achieve the heating effect. This heating method is widely used in the heating and processing of metal materials, such as welding, heat treatment, etc. ‌

In addition, the principle of the induction power supply is similar to that of a transformer, which achieves energy conversion and transmission by generating magnetic coupling between the primary and secondary sides. This power supply is suitable for extracting energy from high-voltage transmission and distribution lines. Its output voltage and power are related to factors such as the operating frequency, primary current, secondary turns, core permeability, size, and load.
